The theme for our 15th edition of Halloween in Amsterdam was an ode to sub-cultures rockabilly & psychobilly, vintage horror, pop art and B-movie monsters. The Monster Bash party was held at Panama on 31 October.
A night to dismember
For the sold-out bash, the Panama was split into three themes: the entrance & lobby an ode to B-movie horror with a Creature of the Black Lagoon over the door and a dedicated green screen photo booth; the Roadkill Diner with Retrolicious DJs and the main room Frankenstein’s Lab with psychobilly VIP lounge with tattoo artist and monster pinball machines.
The line-up for the night included a live bodypainter, LED-hoopers, theatre troupe Nepco and a choreographed Monster Bash by Eva and crew.
Groovy Ghoulies and Dark Daddy-O’s
Costumes at The Monster Bash were stellar!! Retro monsters, vintage vamps, rockabilly boys with pompadours & pop art zombie girls in petticoats. Cash & prizes were given out for:
* Winner Best Group/Duo – The Monster crew with retro Frankenstein bride & monster
* Winner Best Themed – The Betty Boops
* Winner Most Original Costume – B-movie alien monster
An Amsterdam Halloween!
The Monster Bash Halloween party was part of Amsterdam Spook’s annual Halloween festival! The 4-day event included a Halloween dinner, Costume & Makeup Pre-party all-night horror movie marathon, kid’s events, makeup workshops and more.
Our 15th annual Halloween party would not be possible without the hard work and creative dedication of our volunteers, artists and fans who work with us year-round to create mad props and exchange brilliant ideas. Thank you!!
